According to the Russian legislation a foreign citizen must be Migratory registered within 24 hours if he/she stays at the hotel in the territory of the Russian Federation. During check-in in the hotel you must submit your passport with the valid visa and your migration card (distributed aboard an aircraft or train or at the passport-control department of the airport or railway station) to the reception. Hotel staff at the reception desk will fill in the form of “Notice of arrival of a foreign citizen at the place of residence” according to your documents and carry out the whole procedure of your Migratory registration without your participation.
